The Asia Trails Network is a transnational network comprising representative trail and hiking organizations from across Asia. Its mission is to improve the value of trail environments and cultures, as well as to promote the unique appeal of Asian trails to audiences in Western countries.
The "Olle" trekking courses, which originated on Jeju Island in South Korea, take their name from the Jeju dialect word meaning "a narrow alleyway leading from the street to a house." The appeal of Olle lies in the ability to intimately experience nature, such as coastlines and mountains, and the alleyways of local homes, allowing you to walk at your own pace and enjoy the surroundings. Miyagi Olle, along with Kyushu Olle and Mongolia Olle, are sister trails of Jeju Olle, offering a unique trekking experience where visitors can fully immerse themselves in scenery, hot springs, culture, and history.
